This three-room apartment is located within a renovated courtyard of historical importance called “Residence Montemezzi” in the center of the municipality of Vigasio.

The client’s brief was to create a living area (27 square meters) within their apartment, comprising an entrance hall, a fully equipped eat-in kitchen, and a conversation/reading area with a spacious bookcase. In other words, to maximize even the smallest spaces. All with a refined and understated aesthetic that evokes a natural environment and, above all, a sense of “green” given the lack of outdoor spaces and balconies.

The bookcase serves to define the three different functional areas through a physical yet permeable separation, thus maintaining the sense of a single space. It also serves as a support for removable coat hangers.

The kitchen maximizes available wall space and features striking wood paneling concealing fitted walls and drawers, providing plenty of storage space and lightening an otherwise cluttered space.

The entrance can be used as a utility area (ironing/cleaning), given its connection to the single storage room on the landing. The idea of ​​furnishing small spaces also allows for flexibility, allowing for a variety of needs.

An additional storage room was created above the washer-dryer column in the hallway. Optimizing small spaces becomes the defining element of the project, guaranteed by the freedom to express every idea, which finds its fullest expression in custom design.
