Green building (or green construction) is a building construction or renovation technique based on ecological and sustainable development principles. It involves paying particular attention to the environmentally friendly materials and tools used, creating highly energy-efficient structures with a low environmental impact.
What is green building?
As mentioned, green building requires design, construction, and management methods that are consistent with environmental sustainability criteria, reducing environmental impact. Buildings designed according to green building principles use renewable energy sources for heating and cooling, such as solar energy for hot water. These include:
